Are you thinking about attending Rutgers at Atlantic Cape Community College for Spring 2010? Submitting a college application doesn't have to involve weeks of waiting for a decision. Prospective transfer students who have, or soon will receive, an associate's degree can make an appointment to meet with an admissions counselor and receive an admission decision on the spot.

Instant Decision will be held at the Rutgers building (Bldg Q) on the Atlantic Cape Community College (ACCC) Mays Landing campus. It is designed for students interested in attending Rutgers University College at the ACCC Mays Landing Campus for select academic programs and the hospitality management program offered at the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus. Instant decisions are designed for students who have a high school diploma AND who have successfully completed at least 60 college level academic credits at a regionally accredited institution.

Admission to Rutgers at Atlantic Cape Community College is generally based on a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 from the most recent institution attended. However, some units and departments may require a higher GPA for admission consideration.

Please note that when you meet with an admissions counselor for an instant decision you will not only receive an admission decision, but an adviser will be available to perform credit evaluation and academic advising.

Students must complete an online application at least 48 hours in advance.

In order to register for an instant decision through Rutgers at Atlantic Cape Community College, you are ONLY allowed to select an academic program that is offered through Rutgers University at Atlantic Cape on your admission application. If you select another Rutgers University campus, you will not be eligible to receive an instant decision.

On the day of your appointment you must bring your college transcripts from all regionally accredited universities.

What to Bring

If you have completed 60 or more college credits, bring:

  • Official college transcripts from all institutions attended
  • Official high school transcript-if you do not have a copy of your high school transcripts at the time of the meeting you will be required to submit them prior to enrollment.
  • Official transcripts are preferable. If unofficial or incomplete documentation is provided at the time of application, admission decisions will be provisional. Letters of recommendation and essay are also welcome, but not required for admission.
